Yeah.. I know his eyes look freaky. These were taken with a point & shoot and I have no photo editing software on this computer.
Anyway....happy 4 months old my little man.

In the arms of the Anna...

The reason there isn't more before..you can't imagine the smell...gag.
The materials used for the remodel came mostly from my grandparents house. The walls and the floors my grandfather got from old churches and schools when my grandparents built their house around 1955. We used the same reclaimed wood for the walls, floor and even the countertop in the kitchen. The ceiling is tin that came off of a chicken coop that was being torn down. The kitchen cabinets, appliances, washer & dryer and living room furniture came out of a house that was being razed to make way for condos here at the beach. Doesnt it look like a beach bum shack?
Anyway, here are the after pictures.

(doesn't she have the prettiest lips?)
Now...me & the kids are off to the beach for some much needed rest!

Look at those rolls/neck!

I think hell has frozen over. Tatum is dressed cute, wearing a ribbon, and giving her mom a kiss. This must be some cruel joke..right? Sigh..doesn't she look gorgeous?!?
Daddy took the Hud man on his 1st tractor ride. Well..his first John Deere ride!

and Anna wasn't going to let that action get away without her...
One day my best friend, Revelle, calls with "OMG MOMMA GOLDBERG'S IS OPEN IN BIRMINGHAM WE HAVE TO GO THERE". Well..things got in the way and we never made it there. One day I was brave and decided to venture to Momma Goldberg's in Homewood and try out this Momma's Love that Revelle had been raving about. I've been hooked ever since. So much after having Hudson, Billy and I couldn't stand one more night of hospital food so my sweet husband went out and got us a Momma's Love.

Gosh..it seems just like yesterday I was arguing at Parisian with the sales lady when I bought this dress for Tatum. Yes...there were 10 of these dresses on the sale rack..don't put them there if they aren't suppose to be on sale! I miss Parisian and Tatum being small enough to wear it. Sigh..time goes by so quickly.

SNOW....YEA!!!!

Guess who she's throwing that at?

Ok..so Billy has to go to work 1st thing this morning. I hear Tatum mutter something to Anna about having to wait til daddy gets home so they can ride sleds. HELLO..why can't I ride sleds! I'm just as cool as daddy! Get your clothes on we're going out to play kids. So..we all 3 pile on the sled pictured below and take off. It never occurred to me that I had no idea how to stop the darn thing once we get to the bottom of the hill. Anna, the smart one, jumps off. Me & Tatum stay with our sinking ship that sunk right into a bunch of brush and a few small trees. Which freaked Anna completely out. She was afraid we were hurt and refused to get on it again. Now me, trying to be cool like daddy, hops on the little blue disc pictured below (think Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation..wow I reference that movie a lot in my life). I take off down said hill again thinking maybe if I lean I can turn. Um no, the thing flipped and I now have a case of road rash on my lower back. Once daddy gets home we load up and decide to head next door to Nina's & Papa's house to hit their bigger hills. Again, trying to be cool and go faster than Billy on the little blue disc we take off. We're both heading wide open down the hill where again I have that "hmm..how am I going to stop this thing" moment. I see I'm heading for our concrete driveway so I have to make a decision A) hit the driveway (concrete I need to throw out there again) or B) try to stop it with my leg. I decided to try to stop it with my leg..which entails leaning..which means I didn't learn from the lesson above. As I lean I flip..going somewhat airborne and land right on my lower back (same place as road rash). I'm laying face down screaming "MY BACK MY BACK" and Anna runs "MOMMY IS HURT" and I realize I've freaked her out again. I don't want her to be afraid of the (evil) sled so I not so gracefully pull myself up, stand up and start walking trying to act like I'm fine. Anna's lesson learned: Mommy can't ride a sled..stay with daddy. I, meanwhile, have spent the remainder of the day on a heating pad. I never knew there was an art to sledding..it looks so easy on TV..not so much in real life.
