and it was lots of fun!!! Anna's first all star tournament.
She had a *great* weekend...
but how do you get one to stop looking at the ball when it's hit?
it's like she can't. stop. looking.
and the bat is hanging out there and she's still looking. she did make it to first..but only because she hit it to the outfield.
She didn't strike out all weekend. I'm so proud of her...
I don't know if I've told you this..but I'm the official french braider of the 1999 Birmingham Vipers. Also known as Saydee's (my niece) softball team. This weekend..I officially became the Heart breakers' french braider as well.
(and I monogrammed their ribbons..aren't they cute?)
I swear that is why they won their 2nd game on Saturday...they could SEE because their hair was out of their eyes. You see, this is the only way you can get their hair pulled back without it hurting in their batting helmet and the face mask that I make Anna wear while fielding.
Here is my girl on the pitchers mound..where she caught a pop fly on Thursday night!
(PS..Anna..can I please have your cut arms?)
Then she played 3rd base on Saturday. She caught a pop fly and tagged her base and got the runner out as well. DOUBLE PLAY! I'm so proud of her...she was the only one of her team that caught a pop fly. Can you tell I'm a wee bit proud?
They came in 2nd in the tournament!! Great job girls! I did get a laugh because if you scroll back to last weekend you'll see where she has a thing for holding trophies over her head. ha!
She's the only kid I know that can play 3 games in the HEAT and still run around like it's nothing
For the record...she didn't go to bed til 11 o'clock last night and that's because Billy's mom MADE her go to sleep.
Just one more from today...
aren't my babies the sweetest???
I *adore* summer time!!!!!!
