Weekend 4 at the beach..

Yep...he did exactly what you're thinking.

Billy Anna wanted to build sand castles
it's a good thing Anna was all into the sand castles..
On Saturday the kids were in a Pirate costume contest at Pier Park

I guess Hudson didn't win the costume contest because we all know that real pirates don't drink from sippy cups.
Hudson wasn't too sure about the "real" pirate that was walking around.

I wish I was still there. right. now.
That is Anna on the beach...and so far no signs of oil.

Tatum finally came to the beach with us instead of staying inside..only because she was jealous that I didn't have any pictures of her on the beach. ha!
Like I said..no signs of oil. But BP was wasting money making sure they had enough workers there..to work 15 minutes out of every hour. They each spend 7 minutes walking down the beach to watch for oil, and 7 minutes back to the tent. We can thank OSHA for that little rule. I love the government..and their "no work" rules.

Another weekend at the beach

Weekend 3 at the beach..Lots to fun to be had by all!!!!!
Hudson actually liked the water & sand this trip..unlike Spring Break.
Can you believe that Tatum was there and didn't want to go to the beach? Who doesn't want to go to the beach?

PS, have I told you how much I love summer?

July 4th at the beach!

We have been to our normal beach hangout the past two weekends. I love summer. I love the beach. If I could marry summer, I totally would.

When the sun was directly above the beach, the water was the most beautiful clear emerald you've ever seen.
Look..it's me. Me..in the ocean. I'm glad Madelyn caught it because it doesn't happen too often. Plus, I'm not too sure when the oil is going to hit and how long it will be there. So I thought I better get in while I still could.
Look at how clear and beautiful the water is.. : ( If only I could keep it like that. forever. BP..please STOP THE OIL. and stop it from ruining my beach. Yes, my beach. Laguna Beach.

My sweet beat up looking baby sleeping. Isn't he the most beautiful thing?

Preschool...

already? Really? I'm pretty sure I was just starting this blog a few minutes ago with the "OMG I'm going to have a baby. and it's a boy?

Yes, preschool. really.
Here is my big boy pulling in his "pack pack".
He is so excited he can't stand it.

PS, he had zero problems going to sleep tonight. Something tells me he had a hard day of playing and learning numbers..and colors..and....

(he will more than likely be super smart like Saydee & Anna who have attended the same preschool. I'm pretty much they bypassed me on the intelligence level.. well..sometime around mid 1st grade year when they were doing math facts. and i was googling math facts to see what they were.)

Thank you mom for taking care of my little man for 16 months of his life ( i was on mat leave for 3). i'm pretty sure that "enjoying retirement traveling" thing was totally a code for "quit calling me 15 times a day to see what Hudson is doing". Happy travels, I hope you & dad check off all kinds of things on your bucket lists.

Tatum at cheer camp

I'm going to go old school you on here for just a minute. But back in my day, when I went to cheer camp. It was outside. Meaning we were doing cheers and building pyramids in Hell. There is nothing like lifting someone over your sweaty head to realize you wish you would have caked more deodorant on.

Anyway, these girls today have it so easy..they went to camp at the UAB New Rec Center. Meaning, inside and air conditioned. SO nice.

Tatum had a great time and learned a lot. I'm so glad she got to experience camp with other squads this year. Last year they had camp in their gym.
This was at the end of day 2
I'm pretty sure I never had the energy to lift my sunburned arms after a day of cheering. You know because the sun can zap your will to live. or lift your arms. Just sayin'
This was on day 3
Day 4
Great job girls..I'm very proud of you.

Heartbreakers at State..

and Orange Beach! Man..the beaches are in bad bad shape. I'll find pictures to post about that soon.

The Heartbreakers where challenged to show their spirit at the champions walk. I They should have totally won!

Billy pulled some strings and we had this banner made for them. I put he hearts and the numbers on with my beloved Cricut

I had a 20x30 photo collage printed at Wolf Camera. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought foam core and mounted it to the foam girl to carry it during the walk. I also made the girls flip flops. One mom took fans and decorated them. We definitely showed the most spirit..even if we didn't win..
This was the back of the poster.
 their flip flops.

While we were there..the girls played a few games
my so humble child.

We went to a wedding. One of our coaches was engaged and one of our coaches was a preacher. So..why not?
We got to Hang Out
This poor boy got to sit through 3 days of ball! and it was SO HOT.

Anna had lots of fun with her friends

We did lots of swimming, in the pool of course.
Hudson didn't want to have his picture made with Anna..obviously.
Can I just say I love having a little girl? I wish she would stop growing. I can not believe she will be going into the 2nd grade in just 6 weeks.
We watched the heartbreakers yell "Heartbreakers" one last time. :(

I am so proud of you girls. You had a great All Stars season. I can't wait until next year!
My littlest heartbreaker was such a trooper!

We had a good time at Live Bait where my sweet babies posed for a picture for me

We had breakfast at Tacky Jacks before heading home.

We had a great time..
 Made lots of memories
Cant wait til next year!
