Countdown til Halloween!

Day 5

Poor Hudson..we got up late and a brush never graced that head of hair. Sorry son.

Day 4
We had planned for Anna to wear this

but she went for this instead

Not my cup of tea..but hey..I'll choose my battles because she will still wear just about anything I pick out for her. Tatum quit doing that at 2. I'm serious.

and the bones glow in the dark. How could I argue with that?

and this sweet boy had school pictures today

Unfortunately, according to my mother-in-law he messed up this outfit so it was a no go for school pics

but man he looked so handsome in it!

Fall Ball is over!

The price of gloves, helmets, facemask, bats, softball in general..a bazillion dollars.

(just in case you didn't realize it..Anna is #9 and is going for a fly ball)

Watching your child catch a fly ball and be proud of themselves.. PRICELESS.

Day 9

 

Hudson is so thrilled that Anna is once again touching him

This outfit was a total Anna creation. :) She LOVED the shirt!

We didn't go anywhere this weekend to wear Halloween clothes..so we'll we revert back to the end of Sept and beginning of Oct when we did start wearing Halloween stuff.

Countdown til Halloween!

This little girl started counting down the days til Halloween (seeing as it IS our favorite holiday and start planning outfits accordingly :) . Well..it isn't a holiday..but it should be!!

These were taken on Tuesday..12 days til...

and Hudson was super excited to get in on the action.

11 days til

I know you're all murmering a "Bless his heart" right now. We're just going to pretend this was dress up day and he's going for the Erkel look..with bed head and all.

Day 11 til..

We can not WAIT til Halloween!!

We are some festive people!

We went to the mountains last week and had a great time. It went by WAY too fast.

Our first stop was to the outlets in Pigeon Forge. I will say..my in-laws went and they stepped out on this trip. Both my fil and mil had a Starbucks frappacino for the first time! I'm so glad I could get them to branch out! Unfortunately I have no pics as proof. :(

Day 2 we went to Cades Cove and stayed in the woods all day!

We grilled hot dogs

and roasted marshmallows

Because we cant ever do anything normal..

This series of Tatum cracks me up..but mostly because of Hudson's reactions.

Obviously Hudson was the man of the hour..because he's cute and doesn't really talk back yet.

and yes the princess was there too

Hudson was asleep as soon as I put him in his car seat. Playing in the woods will wear you OUT!

We drove around the loop after playing in the woods and Anna proclaimed this was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen!

and I'm pretty sure Billy & his dad thought this was the most beautiful thing they'd ever saw.

Day 3 we drove from Gatlinburg, TN

through Cherokee, NC

to Cleveland, GA. To the Babyland General Hospital..where cabbage patch babies are born!

to Helen, GA..to OKTOBERFEST!!!

This one was more fun than last years.

I'm pretty sure you can tell that by the look on Tatum's face.

We found a hotel room in Dahlonega, GA. PS..Econolodge there..it is pet friendly just so you know. I'm telling you this because if you are highly allergic to animals (like me) you will not sleep well there.

We went to the Gold Rush festival there the next morning where obviously Tatum got her face painted

and Anna went down a slide

Next we went to the Apple Festival in Ellijay, GA. I was expecting more apples to be honest.

but Anna wasn't dissapointed

as she finishes off her apple pie and went down more slides

and Tatum did too!

Then she rode a bull

 

Then we made it home just in time for kickoff for the Alabama game (ROLL TIDE)

 Where Hudson was just happy to be out of this car seat

but not happy to be chased by Anna

and Anna was happy to bring home her new addition that she adopted from Babyland. Her name is Lucinda..Lucy for short.

It was a fun fun trip!! but glad to be home sleeping in my own (non cat infested) bed!
